Simplify COM Connections​
The OPC COM Tunneller module allows you to access remote OPC COM servers over the network without using Remote DCOM. It exposes local COM connections to Ignition’s OPC UA server, so OPC UA clients can access them using modern protocols.

The OPC COM Tunneller module requires the OPC COM module to be installed and licensed.
Modernize COM Servers​
The module manages the COM connection internally and translates it into the OPC UA protocol. This enables secure communication using TCP, with support for encryption and authentication, and simplifies access to legacy COM servers.
