# Catalyst Core Module

>

The Catalyst Core module assists in various functions within the Ignition system. Following a Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) philosophy, Catalyst Core does not provide an AI model itself. Instead, users connect their existing AI model, such as Claude or ChatGPT, in order to do things like diagnose Gateway issues or design projects.
